Published by Marshall Mcleod on February 16, 2025

Below is a poem I wrote about the book of Judges in the Bible. I have written one about all 66 books of the Bible and plan to post them.

If you don't want to wait for me to post you can download the free ebook of all 66 here  " A Poetic Journey through the Bible

Judges Poem

In the land of promise, long ago,

A tale from the Book of Judges, I bestow.

A time of turmoil, a cycle of sin,

Where people's hearts wandered from him.

In the fever of conquest, they forgot the Lord,

Bowed down to idols, which many adored.

But God in His mercy, a deliverer sent,

Called a Judge, on salvation bent.

Othniel, Ehud, and Deborah strong,

Led the people away from doings of wrong.

Gideon’s fleece and his humble might,

Drove away the Midianite.

Jephthah’s vow, Samson’s strength,

Stories of old, teachings at length.

In their weakness, God was strong,

In His righteousness, they belong.

From chaos to monarchy, the transitions went,

In God's grand plan, it was all meant.

A cycle of sin, repentance, and restoration,

Judges tells of a nation’s salvation.

Faith and obedience, the call to serve,

God’s justice and mercy, the judges preserve.

Remember, dear ones, God is near,

In every joy, in every fear.

In the Book of Judges, His truth we find,

A testament of love to all mankind.
