Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Prayer is the language of our hearts, a sacred conversation between us and our Heavenly Father.
It is through prayer that we express our deepest desires, confess our sins, and seek guidance in our daily lives.
But, have you ever thought about praying consistently and for big things, things that are truly worthy of our omnipotent God?
The scripture tells us in James 5:16, "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." So, let us dive into the essence of consistent prayer
and how to pray for big things that reflect the magnitude of our God's power.
- The Power of Consistent Prayer:
Consistency in prayer is vital. It is not just about bringing our requests to God but about building a relationship with Him. In 1 Thessalonians 5:17, we are encouraged to "Pray without ceasing." This means maintaining a constant, ongoing dialog with God, acknowledging His presence in our lives at all times.
- Praying for Big Things:
Our God is an omnipotent God, capable of doing immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Therefore, we should not limit our prayers to small, easily achievable things.
Instead, pray for big things, things that seem impossible to the human mind but are absolutely possible for our mighty God. -
Remember, prayer is not about convincing God to do what we want, but aligning our will with His. When we start to pray for big things, we must ensure that our desires are in line with God's will and His Kingdom.
- Aligning with God’s Will:
As believers, we are commanded to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33).
When we pray for big things, let them be things that glorify God, advance His Kingdom, and bring us and others closer to Him.
Ask for wisdom, for strength to overcome trials, for the salvation of the lost, for the expansion of His church and for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. - The Assurance of Answered Prayers:
God honors our faith and earnest prayers. "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will,
We will receive it.
