The use of our digital devices for the glory of GOD

Published by Marshall Mcleod on April 5, 2025

Just an observation of my own.

I have found that when I use my phone or my computer to glorify GOD. Then any time I try to use that device
for something not in accordance with his will the Holly Spirit convicts me and makes it harder for me to
watch porn or text an evil message to someone. Or post an angry facebook post.
===============================================================================

This is relevant in our modern times - the use of our digital devices for the glory of God.
We live in a digital era in which our devices have become an integral part of our lives. They have the power to connect us,
to inform us, and to entertain us. But like all tools, they can be used for both good and evil.

In Ephesians 5:3 (KJV), we are instructed, "But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness,
let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints." This includes not only our actions but also our words,
thoughts, and what we choose to view on our devices.

Let us consider our digital devices as tools given by God, to be used for His glory alone. When used correctly,
they can be instruments of righteousness, helping us to spread the love and message of God. But when used for wickedness,
like pornography or unkind communication, it steers us away from our righteous path and further into sin.

In Romans 6:13 (KJV), Paul writes, "Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin:
but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God."
This verse reminds us that we should not let any part of our lives, including our digital habits, become a tool for sin.

When we use our devices for God's glory, it becomes difficult to use them for wicked purposes.
If we dedicate our devices to spreading the gospel, connecting with fellow believers, studying the Scriptures, praying, or praising God,
it creates a barrier against the temptation to use them for immoral purposes.

I challenge everyone Post a Few bible verses this week.
Then see if the next time you want to use that device for something not of his will,
See if You are not Convicted by the Holy Spirit.
